A Christmas Fairytale
Friday, December 16, 2011 at 3:40PM I wrote this a little while back (a little while? That bump in my belly is about to turn four) for the Australian Women's Weekly, but I thought I'd share it here in celebration of Christmas being just around the corner.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful recollection of your white Christmas in Lavenham. We in the Northern Hemisphere, I think, take for granted the white Christmases. But it's true! It is a dream, for kids of every age!
Here in Prague, we are expecting our first blanketing of snow tomorrow, and my whole family anticipates it with quick smiles and held breath.
Wishing you and your family a restful and joyous Christmas, Kate.
Thank you, Jennifer
Thanks for your message and for the divine image of Prague beneath a dusting (the first of winter--sigh) of snow. Enjoy it!
The very best of Christmas wishes to you and yours.
Kate
Love always,
Meredith
What a lovely story! Thank you for painting such a beautiful picture with your words so we can all enjoy the vision of a white Christmas. Wishing you & your family a wonderful Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Dawn
Beautifully written, I can just imagine being there.
It sounds like a perfect Christmas, and well worth the time in research.
It seems we are to have a "green" Christmas this year in my part of Canada. I remain hopeful, as it is just not the same without the snow.
Happy wishes to you and your family, for a very Merry Christmas!
Lauren
Thank you for sharing your lovely images of the perfect Christmas morning! I will be sure to share this with my children, they are mourning our "gray" Christmas here in Michigan; no beautiful white "tissue-torn" flakes for us this year! As always your writing transports me, and today, however briefly, I had a divine white Christmas morning. Thank you.
All our best from here in the States for a very Merry Christmas!
Katie
