FAQ > On Likes, Dislikes And More > What are some of your favorite films, and what makes them unforgettable to you?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

The Remains of the Day--One of the few films that lives up to a brilliant book. Anthony Hopkins gives an incredible performance as a butler trying desperately not to realize that times have changed and the world he once occupied no longer exists.

Tootsie--An absolute classic that doesn’t seem to date. (Well, except perhaps for the fashion and music!)

Deep Impact--A high stakes disaster film that also has believable character development.

Pulp Fiction—this film blew my mind when it was released. Every so often something comes along that forges a whole new genre.

When Harry Met Sally--Exquisite writing! The ultimate intelligent rom-com with fantastic performances from Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal. There have been many imitators but none come close.
The Others--The best atmosphere ever; so deliciously creepy!

I also love watching American television series on DVD, particularly those made by HBO: The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The West Wing, Lost, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Rome, Mad Men—I’ve seen them all.
