I was studying drama when I decided to give writing a try. I bought a notebook and started scribbling ideas and questions to myself, and I realised that it wasn’t performing I loved so much as playing with words and telling stories. I’d never done anything that made me feel so whole or fulfilled and I haven’t stopped since. I’d continue to write whether I was published or not—I just couldn’t imagine not having a story taking shape in my mind. It would feel as if I were missing a vital layer of myself.
